The chakras are the primary mediators of all energy within the body and of the energy coming into it. Chakras are connected to the body primarily through the endocrine glands and spinal system. When in imbalance, chakras work to pull in greater amounts of energy to counter the dis-ease that is present. It is when they become overactive in this way that stress can be created within certain parts of the body. Once chakra balance is restored, the body can begin to eliminate the dis-ease more effectively.
